The South China Morning Post described the same shift in May 2026 as “bedside beauty”: overnight products moving from the bathroom shelf to the nightstand, alongside the social-media trend for better sleep known as sleepmaxxing.[1] Leo Park, co-founder and CEO of Seoul Beauty Club, told the paper that K-beauty built routines around the night long before it became a trend, and that people are tired of constantly trying to fix their faces. “Overnight products feel convenient,” he said. “You apply once, rest, and let your skin recover instead of constantly treating it.”[1]

The wider category is still growing. U.S. sales of Korean beauty reached USD 2 billion in the 12 months to Aug. 9, 2025, up 37% from USD 1.5 billion a year earlier, in NIQ data.[2] Cosmetics Business, citing NielsenIQ's K-Beauty Goes Global 2026 report, puts global K-beauty growth at 53% in the year to January 2026 and 131% over two years.[3]
